ActionScript

What is ActionScript?

ActionScript is a scripting language originally developed for Adobe Flash to control animations, games, and interactive content on the web. Since Flash was discontinued at the end of 2020, ActionScript has been effectively phased out, modern interactivity is now created using HTML5, JavaScript, and WebAssembly. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we now encounter ActionScript almost exclusively in legacy systems that require a clean migration to current web standards, without losing any content.
