API

What is an API?

An API (Application Programming Interface) is a defined interface through which one software system can specifically access data or functions from another, without knowing its inner workings. Common standards include REST, GraphQL, and WebSocket. For small and medium-sized businesses, APIs are the means to break down silos: CRM communicates with the online store, the online store with accounting, and accounting with analytics. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we build API integrations so that process chains run in a traceable, monitored, and controlled manner.
