Below the Fold

What is "Below the Fold"?

"Below the Fold" refers to the area of a webpage that becomes visible only after active scrolling, the counterpart to "Above the Fold." The drop in attention here is measurable: without a strong hook at the top, the lower section often goes unread. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we deliberately use “Below the Fold” for in-depth content, social proof, and FAQs, not for the central message. Heat maps and scroll depth measurements show us whether the content is truly reaching readers.
