Consent Mode v2
What is Consent Mode v2?
Consent Mode v2 is Google’s framework for consent-based sharing of tracking data with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Floodlight, and Google Tag Manager. Consent signals (ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) control which data is transferred on a granular basis. Without Consent Mode v2, remarketing and conversion tracking are disabled once certain thresholds are reached. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we implement Consent Mode v2 using certified CMPs such as Usercentrics, Cookiebot, or Borlabs, with comprehensive documentation to meet GDPR and TTDSG compliance requirements.
