Content Audit

What is a content audit?

A content audit is the systematic review and evaluation of all content on a website, based on relevance, performance, quality, recency, and intent match. Data sources include GA4, Search Console, crawl data, and editorial evaluation. The result is a classification: Keep as-is, Update, Merge, Delete. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we start content projects with an audit, in 9 out of 10 cases, a relaunch without a prior content inventory is more expensive than a structured assessment, because otherwise errors are simply carried over.
