E-E-A-T

What is E-E-A-T?

E-E-A-T stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trust, Google’s quality framework for content from the Search Quality Rater Guidelines. Since December 2022, the second “E” (Experience) has been added: Google places greater weight on experience-based, practical content than on pure theory. Trust is the foundation: without trust, the other three signals are ineffective. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we actively incorporate E-E-A-T signals: author bylines with profile links, real case studies, well-structured legal notice and privacy policy pages, and reliable source citations. E-E-A-T is less of a trick and more of a mindset.
