End-of-Life (EOL)
Definition: The point in time after which a manufacturer no longer provides free security updates for a software version.
Everyday analogy: It’s like when a car’s warranty expires. It still runs, but you have to pay for every repair yourself, and the mechanic can no longer find all the replacement parts.
How we use this: We proactively communicate EOL information. TYPO3 v12 will reach EOL in April 2026, anyone still using v12 at that point will be without security updates.
