GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Definition: An EU regulation in effect since May 2018 that governs how personal data may be processed, it applies to any website with visitors from the EU.

Everyday analogy: Like the house rules in an apartment building. It governs what you’re allowed to do with your neighbors’ data, and what you’re not.

How we use it: Every website we build undergoes a GDPR check: consent banners, data processing agreements with hosting providers, technical safeguards, and data minimization.
