Headless TYPO3

What is Headless TYPO3?

Headless TYPO3 is TYPO3 in headless mode: Content is no longer rendered in the traditional TYPO3 frontend, but is instead delivered via a JSON API. This is based on the officially supported "headless" extension. Frontend development is carried out separately in frameworks such as Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, or Svelte. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we use Headless TYPO3 when clients have multiple delivery channels, high performance requirements, or an in-house frontend team, for traditional SME websites, monolithic TYPO3 usually remains the more robust choice.
