Hero / Hero Section

Definition: A large, prominent area at the top of the page featuring a headline, a short message, and usually an image or video. It’s the first thing visitors see.

Everyday analogy: Like a store’s window display. If the window display doesn’t make it clear within two seconds what’s inside, passersby will walk right by.

How we use it: In web design, the hero section is the most important decision. Here, we scrutinize the message, image selection, and loading speed particularly closely.
