HTTPS

What is HTTPS?

HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) is the encrypted version of HTTP. A secure channel is established between the browser and the server via TLS, ensuring that data cannot be intercepted or tampered with while in transit. Browsers flag plain HTTP pages as “not secure”—HTTPS is a basic requirement for any reputable website and an SEO ranking factor. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we use Let’s Encrypt or commercial TLS certificates, automated renewal, and HSTS headers—expired certificates can cost you trust and rankings in a matter of minutes.
