Human-in-the-Loop

What is "human-in-the-loop"?

Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) is the principle of always having a human serve as a control mechanism at critical points in an AI-supported process, for approvals, exception decisions, and quality assurance. For B2B organizations, HITL is often legally relevant (AI Regulation, liability) and operationally sound. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we define precisely where humans make decisions in every AI workflow: for all customer-facing content, for data-sensitive inputs, and for legal statements. Pure autopilot setups without human oversight will not be viable for most B2B scenarios by 2026.
