Hyperlink

What is a hyperlink?

A hyperlink (link) is a reference in a hypertext document that leads to other content, another page, a document, a section, a file, or an email address. Technically, it is implemented in HTML using the anchor tag `a` and the `href` attribute. For SEO, in addition to the destination, the anchor text, the rel attribute (nofollow, sponsored, ugc), and the semantic placement are also important. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we focus on descriptive anchor text, clean internal linking, and thematically relevant external links.
