Metaverse

What is the metaverse?

The metaverse is a collective term for persistent, immersive virtual worlds in which users can interact with avatars, create content, and simulate economic activity. Following the intense hype around 2021–2022, the metaverse is less prevalent in everyday life in 2026, AR glasses from Apple and Meta, as well as industrial digital twin applications, remain the most serious implementations.
