Sprint / Roadmap / Stakeholders
Definition: Project terminology from agile software development. Sprint = a defined period of work (usually 1–4 weeks). Roadmap = a rough timeline for the coming months. Stakeholder = anyone with an interest in the project’s outcome.
Everyday analogy: Sprint = construction phase. Roadmap = 12-month construction plan. Stakeholders = everyone with a say, the client, architect, neighbors, and building department.
How we use this: We manage larger web projects in sprints. The roadmap serves to manage expectations. Clarity regarding stakeholders prevents unexpected vetoes down the line.
