Definition: The percentage of time a website is accessible and functional, usually expressed as a percentage. 99.9% uptime means about 8 hours of downtime per year.
Everyday analogy: Think of a store’s hours of operation. 99.9% means it’s practically always open, but occasionally closed for cleaning.
How we use this: We measure uptime externally (not in-house) and report monthly. If the SLA threshold is not met, credits are automatically issued.
