Content Management System

What is a content management system?

A content management system (CMS) is software that allows editors to maintain, structure, and publish digital content, without having to write any code. Behind the scenes, a CMS separates content from presentation. Well-known systems include TYPO3 (popular among mid-market and enterprise companies), WordPress (widely used, with a robust plugin ecosystem), and headless solutions such as Contentful. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we select the CMS on a project-by-project basis, based on editorial workload, security requirements, multilingual capabilities, and the team’s expertise.
