Backend

What is the backend?

The backend is the server-side component of a digital application, business logic, database, APIs, authentication, and schedulers. Invisible to users, yet crucial for stability. Typical technologies include PHP (TYPO3, WordPress), Node.js, Python, and Java. In the context of a CMS, “backend” also refers to the administration area where editing and configuration take place.
