Customer Journey

What is a customer journey?

The customer journey describes all of a customer’s touchpoints with a brand, from initial awareness through research, purchase, and use to word-of-mouth recommendations. Typical phases include awareness, consideration, decision, retention, and advocacy. Each phase requires its own content and engagement opportunities. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we map out customer journeys for each target audience before we build websites, this ensures that the site structure and content are based on real information needs, not departmental logic.
