Conversion Rate

What is a conversion rate?

The conversion rate (CR) measures the number of conversions relative to the number of users or sessions. It is the key KPI for a website’s profitability: Every visitor who does not convert represents budget spent without a return. Industry benchmarks vary widely, B2B service providers often range from 1 to 5 percent, while e-commerce ranges from 2 to 3 percent. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we usually focus on the CR first, it often drives traffic growth before additional budget is allocated.
