Machine Learning

What is machine learning?

Machine Learning (ML) is a subfield of artificial intelligence: systems learn patterns from training data rather than having every rule explicitly programmed for them. Traditional methods include supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and, in recent years, deep learning with neural networks. In small and medium-sized businesses, ML is used for forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, and recommendations. At Waterproof Web Wizard, we recommend ML primarily in cases where there is a clear data set and repeatable patterns, not as a marketing buzzword without a concrete use case.
